Rip Bromini is a horticultural company that specializes in a wide range of mini Bromelias, so-called Brominis.
The J. Rip company has been around since the early 1930s and has been passed on from father to son for generations. Until the late 1950s vegetables were grown under flat glass.
A greenhouse was built in the early 1960s and around 1970 J. Rip sr. Started growing Bromeliads.
At first mainly Aechmeas were grown, later Guzmanias and Vrieseas were added.
Around 1990 Jaap Rip jr. Started growing mini Bromeliads in 5.5 cm pots, these were the first Brominis.
This made Jaap the first Bromeliad grower in the world to grow in this pot size. These Brominis are a special addition to the existing Bromeliad range.
